We’re thrilled to announce our first ever printed publication!!! 32 page half/size magazine in full color featuring interviews with INTEGRITY (Dwid and A2 revisit the Araca years), COUNTDOWN TO OBLIVION (Chris Colohan revisits his time spent in CTO), ILSA (vocalist Orion compiles his list of all time favorite VHS horror movies) and an artist profile/feature on SZYMON SIECH.

Also included is a four page companion to the A389 MMXII DIGITAL MIXTAPE/SAMPLER where you can wrap your head around all the releases we have planned/scheduled for the rest of 2012. A389 SURPASES 100 VINYL RELEASES / THE NEW FACE OF A389

My goal for A389 has always been to reach either 10 years or 100 releases. Well it looks like we’ve managed to surpass 100 vinyl-only releases in only our 8th year of existence!!!

We’ll have some embroidered patches of our new logo available soon and to commemorate this special milestone, we’ve changed our center labels as seen here on our first official post-100th release: HOMEWRECKER‘s Worms And Dirt LP.

You may notice that the HOMEWRECKER LP is actually A389-101. Our secret surprise for A389-100 was actually unveiled for the first time yesterday…

Man this week has blown by faster than the blink of an eye!!! Lots going on over here as usual, we’re on the cusp of announcing a ton of stuff that is ALMOST ready…(like a magazine..whoops did I say that?) Quick recap for now:

HOMEWRECKER, SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP, PHARAOH and CYNARAE records are at the plant and will be available late May/Early June. All three bands have sick record release plans in the works.

Our first set of ‘classic’ A389 reissues are also underway and will be accompanied by a new band/new release..news on that VERY soon.

We’re gonna tell you about more stuff we’ve been working on next week including the future of A389 beyond our first 100 releass!!! (Did you know we officially passed 100 vinyl releases?!) Also wrapping up the A389 MMXII Digital Mixtape/Sampler!

So yeah, sorry for the scattered update. It’s been an insane week of gruntwork from all angles and I just wanted to check in and touch base. (If you follow us on Facebook/Twitter you’ll get a lot more random blurbs about stuff we’re doing) But yeah, expect a fully refined/detailed update next week! Have a great weekend!

We’ve been stoked to announce this for a while and it looks like everything is finally coming to fruition!!! Maryland’s EARTHRIDE and Florida’s JUNIOR BRUCE will be releasing a split LP on A389 this summer!!!

Ever since randomly walking in on an EARTHRIDE show I was floored by how heavy of a band they are. Perfect tones, HUGE riffs and a wild frontman. One of my favorite riff-heavy stoner rock bands. We’re totally thrilled to be working with them on this release.

Our own JUNIOR BRUCE will be on the flipside of this LP debuting new material they’ve been working on since releasing their incredible LP ‘The Headless King’, earlier this year.

The bands will be teaming up to play a string of summer shows leading to and from the SHOD XII Festival in Connecticut.

Details for the release are being finalized, but we’ve been informed that both bands are booked to hit the studio with fresh material within the next few weeks, and that the artwork is underway, ensuring a late summer release in time for the planned tour dates.
